Garold Amsberry
I started creating in clay during high school. From there, I found work making production pottery in the Annapolis Pottery studio and I received my B.S.A with a concentration in Ceramics from Frostburg State University.
So, that's a little bit of history but the story is in the clay. What I get from clay is the challenge. There's always what the clay, glazes and kilns are doing and what you're trying to get them to do. I'm constantly thinking of what the clay can become within form and function.
I find inspiration from the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina as well as the rich community of amazing artists that surround me. I hope the enjoyment I receive from creating my work is given to you with that piece.
